Great wristwatch, decent pedometer and stopwatch

I purchased this EZON waterproof wristwatch for my dad, because it has a clock, a pedometer, and a stopwatch. I liked this option since it didn’t require an app that would have a learningcurve for someone who isn’t tech-savvy. It’s a sleek looking, black wristwatch with a large faceand large numbers. I like how, although it appears to be a type of plastic, it doesn’t break frommanipulation, it doesn’t leave any kind of dye behind after long-term use. This is great for mydad since he is older and doesn’t like to have to use his reading glasses to see what time it is. Itworks just like his other watches and each button has the same functions as his other stopwatchwrist watches. The band is a little stiff to unbuckle at first, but that’s typical of watch bands. It is waterproof. My dad accidentally wore it out in the hard rainstorm we just had and it functioned beautifully even after. The instructions provided are in English and Chinese. I can’t attest to the Chinese instructions, but the English instructions are easy to follow, very detailed, and leave nothing up to guess work. The pedometer kept accurate steps, at least based off of the numbers from my Fitbit. Time seemed to be accurate and kept up with our other clocks. Stopwatch seemed to work like a typical stopwatch. It was a little hard to figure out how to reset the stopwatch the first time, but the instructions took care of the explanation very well. This is a great, overall, watch with some fun bells and whistles. It’s easy to use for the most part and has easy to follow instructions. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a large-font wristwatch with stopwatch and/or pedometer.

Very accurate heart monitor

Very accurate as a heart monitor, which is what I bought it for. I had bought a fitbit right before, and it was worthless as a heart rate monitor, during exercise it would show a heartbeat rate of 77 or something while my oxymeter would show 130, as would my gym bikes. I wouldn't trust on the gym bikes, but the oxymeter is a different story. Never mind that it would be impossible for me as an out of shape guy to have such a low hbr during a workout. This one is on the money with the oxymeter, and to my surprise the gym bikes. Plus it has a bigger icon than the fitbit and it stays on the mode I want it to stay on.The chest strap I assume is a better way than the wrap around the wrist. Of course I returned the fitbit after 4 days.

Surprisingly good

I bought this watch to have a relatively inexpensive watch that sets time to the GPS time signal (rather than to use GPS to track workouts, although the watch can do that, too). The GPS time signal is sourced from an atomic clock on a GPS satellite, and so can be considered a validated reference time that doesn't drift. It's what your smart phone uses. For GPS time, the watch works well. To set the time (after initially choosing your time zone -- that part is not automatic), just hold the GPS button (right middle button). The watch will beep and start to search for the satellite signal. Let go of the button when you hear the beep. The watch almost always finds the signal within a couple minutes, often faster (works reliably). It then beeps again. The time is automatically set to the GPS time signal. A second button press (left middle button) then cancels GPS mode. Simple! Once out of GPS mode the battery will last months on a single charge. Then, a rapid charge with the clever included cable (it clips to the watch rather than making you fiddle with a plug) is all that's needed. I set the watch to the GPS signal once a day when I leave my house for work and it stays accurate to the second all day. I charge it once a month or so.Overall, you get accurate timekeeping and with much less frustration than watches that automatically set using the NIST long wave radio time signal (such as Casio Waveceptor). Buy a GPS time Casio and you're looking at a four-figure price. The Ezon is stylish and easy to read, too, with an attractive negative LCD face and clean lines. The face can display just the hours/minutes, or also include the date or a numeric display of seconds. In all modes, a subtle LCD second "hand" progresses around the perimeter of the face. The watch is water resistant and very easy to clean. Lysol or rubbing alcohol won't mar the finish. Wash it under a faucet with no problem.Shipping from China was much faster than promised.I thought there must be a downside so I waited a good while before reviewing -- nope, it's still working great and looking like new. I recommend it!

A winner !

Product arrived on time as presented. Watch is of reasonable size for me, good-looking, light-to-wear, and should meet all my running needs, but only time will tell... I particularly appreciate the clear LARGE time display, since my 80+ year-old eyes have "difficulty" with precise close vision although still 20/20 for distance. I have not had a digital watch with the "button-lock" and "sleep" features of the EZON, and will have to get used-to them, but I can appreciate the need for them if you have an active life and need a dependable time-piece. Exactly what I was looking for so a grade of 5-stars, and to-date a happy EZON customer. Already have two weeks of running on it, but if it should break or quit on me in the next two years of typical hard but reasonable use "I'll be back" to report and re-grade it...

Great heart monitor for riding.

I mounted the watch to the handlebars on my bike. Easy to set which function you want to monitor. Easy to see the readings while riding. Seams very accurate.

Works Great! Simple To Use! Not complicated! Big Font!

I love this little HRM. It does what you want and doesn't do a ton of useless things that most often don't work anyway on many more expensive types of HRMs. And the numbers are BIG so you can read it while you are working out. Really great!

Best bang for the buck!

5 stars considering that It is less than $20. I’ve been exclusively buying Casio branded sports watches for the past 30 years. Lately they haven’t been delivering on all my evolving needs: waterproof, large readable digits, dual time, day of the week (I forget sometimes), day of the month, stopwatch, countdown timer and bright (enough) night illumination. I decided on this EZON in particular because the case was thinner than the competition, the styling is clean and neutral, and the price is right. So far so good. Will be revisiting this review as time goes on for durability, especially the crystal. Downsides? So far, only one which is although easy to put on, the strap is not the easiest to remove.UPDATE MARCH 2022: There's a few scratches on the crystal and dings on the casing (whacked it against a concrete wall), but nothing visible upon casual observation. Have used the dual time when traveling overseas, stopwatch for jogging and timer for cooking. Backlight works well. Still going strong with absolutely no complaints.

Really Good Value

A blog listed this running watch as an excellent value. I completely agree. I am just a normal guy running to make sure I don't die of a heart attack. I just need a watch to keep me at my 10 or 11 minute per mile pace. This GPS watch is perfect for that. It is not a fashion watch (see photo, its a bit big) and is it not as accurate or precise as my phone, which triangulates off cell towers as well as satellites. But I was tired of carrying my phone and concerned about damaging it in sudden weather changes. This watch is great. I can consistently keep on pace and meet my goals. Oh, one other limitation, which maybe I have just not figured out, it does not seem to do intervals very easily. I can pace my entire run, or I can pace my intervals, but I can't seem to conveniently do both in the same run. But again, it may just be my limitation not that of the watch. I am very satisfied with my purchase and recommend this product.

Good watch for a good price. No complaints. I don't want you

It's worth the price, all around good watch, it's not suunto but it's cost effective. And it works good and looks good. I loved that it ships in sleep mode so to not waste battery. Pressing all four buttons at once wakes it up or returns it to sleep mode. Great option for watch storage.
